an insurance company but is a licensed insurance agent and broker.
All policies are issued by an insurance company, as identified on the web site.
Not all insurance products advertised are available in every state in the USA or available in every country in the world. The website is designed to prevent a visitor from getting an instant online quote for a state or country where such product is not available. However, the website can be manipulated to get an instant online quote if you use the incorrect address. If you manipulate the website to get an instant online quote using an incorrect address and you later submit an application with the correct address, this manipulation will be detected and your application will be discarded. If this manipulation is not immediately detected and an insurance policy is issued, The Insurance Agent is not responsible for any damages you suffer as a result of submitting a fraudulent application. Any variation of this type of manipulation is prohibited.
When you choose to purchase insurance at The Insurance Agent, you warrant
the following:
1. You are the owner or authorized insurance buyer for the company requesting
coverage. Loan officers and other lending professionals may not apply for coverage on behalf of a borrower even if the borrower gives authorization to do so.
Applications from loan officers are declined. There are no exceptions. Further, an
"authorized insurance buyer" is never a licensed, independent insurance agent.
An "authorized insurance buyer" is an employee of a corporation or spouse of the owner
of a business.
2. You want The Insurance Agent or an affiliate of The Insurance Agent to act as your sole representative to the insurance company selected for the lines of coverage for which you have applied. The Insurance Agent may refer your application to a licensed affiliate to handle under certain circumstances.
3. You read and agreed to the terms and conditions (found on this page) and the disclosures prior to your submission of an application.
4. Prior to submitting your application, you agree to pay any associated non-premium fees that are contained in your instant online insurance quote when such fees are allowed by law. 5. You understand that all rates, classifications, coverage, terms, monthly premium
payments and audits are subject to the discretion of the insurance company and
not within the control of The Insurance Agent.
6. All coverage determinations and claim settlements are done solely by the insurance
company. If there is any conflict between site contents and the actual insurance
policy, the actual insurance policy shall control.
7. It is your duty to comply with all terms and conditions of the insurance policy.
8. Any and all information which has been or will be provided by you is and shall
be true and correct.
9. When allowed by law, you agree to receive invoices, policies, evidences of insurance, paid receipts, renewal notices and any other document associated with your application and your insurance policy exclusively via electronic transmission. Please, notify The Insurance Agent if you change your e-mail address. The Insurance Agent is not responsible if e-mails sent to you are not delivered for any reason.
