Additional details:
Mold is available as a covered pollutant if the insured has a professionally prepared written
mold plan in place.
Coverage for lead-based paint and in-place asbestos is also available upon review of professionally
prepared written maintenance plans.
Multi-year policy terms are available for many risks.
Additional insured coverage is typically available for adding necessary interests to the insured's policy.
Common Issues:
Properties with existing/prior contamination will be declined by some carriers.
Residential risks with prior mold/water damage claims will be declined by some carriers.
Applicant must have a professionally prepared written mold operations & maintenance (O&M) plan
in place to be eligible for mold coverage.
